I would be lying if I told you that I was not disappointed in myself. I am disappointed in myself for many reasons. The first obvious one is letting this site go, and not updating even though I want to. It just sometimes is hard to think of something interesting to share with the world and often becomes just another thing to get done in the day, rather than something you enjoy doing, the way it should be. Whoever said writing to a blog was always fun and rewarding never had a blog. I am also disappointed because I got a virus on my computer for the first time in 5 years (that whole time without anti-virus software), and now I feel dumb. Its some stupid virus or worm that is opening Internet Explorer (not that new one that steals passwords and bank account numbers), but it keeps opening porn sites, that frankly, need some help when it domes to their aesthetic and creative quality. Anyhow, Its changing my homepage and installing programs without my permission, and I hate it. I feel like a failure that I got such a stupid virus. This is the kind of thing that my parent's friend's kids call me to fix when they download the 'britneyDance.exe' attachment sent by their friend kissingBoys32@aol.com. Makes me sick. I can't even get rid of the damn thing. Once I figure out all this rap I'm going through at work, I'll be sure and broadcast how great life is going. Until then, hope you have a better week than I'm gonna have. p.s. this self-loathing post is in no way meant to put a damper on your day, I'm just bummed out. Peace out.
I know this is lame, but I have one gmail invitation left to invite someone to join gmail. If you would like it, please let me know and I will give it to you. Please know that I would like to give it to someone who actually will use it. Let me know.. Update: Looks like I have 6 invites now, so let me know if you or your friends need them.
![]() This is the car that was stolen two houses up from us. It was returned the same night to the house on the back of a tow truck for reasons unknown to me. The cop that visited our house that night said that they chased down the guy who stole it and he ended up driving it into a lake. Now, the cop seemed pretty smart, but I think he meant to say "he drove it into a tree, and then a couple of light poles, and after a meteorite fell on top of it, he rolled the car into a lake."
Here is the Rocky Mountain News Article. Here is the news report on 7 News reguarding what happened.
Tonight was one of the scariest nights I have ever had. I will try to be short and to the point. Tonight I see Jason at 7:00pm after work and ask where Rachel is and he tells me she was going to hang out with her brother (Rachel is Jason girlfriends who, like all roommate's girlfriend's is a permanent fixture at our house). At 10 o'clock, Jason gets a phone call from Rachel's mom who says that Rachel is in the Hospital Because she was attacked by someone. After a few hours of confusion and trickling information, we come to find out that Rachel was driving back to our house from her bank and (for reasons we don't know), picked up a hitchhiker. The hitchhiker pulled a gun on her and made her drive to the mountains (above central city). He tied her up, tried to assault her, but she resisted. After being pistol whipped, she was somehow able to free herself and run to a nearby house. No one was home, so she went on to the next house, but it wasn't until the 5th house that she was able to get help and talk to the police. The criminal took off with her car and is still on the loose. The best news I have received all year was when the police came to my house and told us that she was doing okay and that the perpetrator was unsuccessful in his attempts to assault her. The cop also told us that at 10pm there was a car stolen 2 houses up from us, and that they caught the thief when he drove into a lake. Please take this to heart and know that we do live in a crazy, crazy world that we cannot take for granted. I would also ask that you pray for Rachel to help her through her recovery, both physically and emotionally. We love you Rachel. -Mark & Weston
Recently I have been blessed with a trifecta of software and services. The best part, is that they are all free. Last week I downloaded Windows Media Player beta 10. Now, the short of my review is that beta 10 is just ver. 9 with a different look and built-in Napster and CinemaNow components. I was able to use the CinemaNow component to get a free trial and watch a movie called Puddle Cruiser. Now, Puddle Cruiser was never released in theaters, and is not on video/DVD (until july). I streamed the movie and was delightfully pleased. It is an awesome movie, especially for such a low budget flick. The second free service I found is an addition to blogger. Blogger now has built in photoblogging capabilities, which Blogger(google) will host for free. This is awesome because it is simple to use and it lets you do cool sites like my niece's new site. The third and by far the best freebie I have had the pleasure of using is my brand new shiny gmail account. I'm really stoked because I think my Regis account will expire soon. The new address is mhusson(a)gmail[dot]com. Please e-mail me there frequently and without restraint. GMail is an awesome service, but it is hard to explain why it is so much better than regular webmail. I read a review that said it's one of those things that you just have to use it yourself, and then you'll understand. I fully agree. So get a gmail account when they launch it and be happier. You too Matt. Hope you enjoy the free like I have.
This is a shameful post, but go over to mattbrozovich.com and read the funny matt and I had. My free post is coming soon.
This is mark posting through his e-mail. Anyhow, our work just had a tornado warning which was pretty stupid. I felt like being in the gymnasium of grade school again. The herded all of us into the center of the first floor of the building. Listen, if the building's going down, we're toast anyway, whether or not we're in the center of the first floor or not. At least let us get our work done as we're dying. Its the least you could do.
