This blog has been a funny thing lately. I really don't feel like posting much these past few weeks. It's not that I don't like to, its just that I don't put it as a very high priority. I'd rather be watching a good movie I've never seen, or going to a show, or just spending time with people. I used to update late at night because thats when I would have some free time, but when you put something off to do in your free time, that makes the free time go away. Anyhow, I'm not really saying anything about what the future holds for this site or anything, I just wish it was less of a hassle. Perhaps more, but much shorter posts are the answer. When I think of something to blog about instead of saying to myself, "Ooh, I should write about that," maybe I should just post it really quick, get it over with in stead of making it a little job.
So there we go. I worked it out. maybe. Nice thing about this post, is I didn't pre-plan it. Welcome to the new non-pre-meditated /mark: "It might not be good, but at least it will be short."

September 13, 2005 Check Your Recipt
So this is just a little reminder out there to everyone to be sure and check your receipts (especially from restaurants) against your bank statements. I have never done this, but a couple weeks ago, I decided to. On the first receipt I have ever checked in my life against my bank statement, I was overcharged 10 dollars. I had given the guy a very nice (and not even necessarily deserved) 20+% tip of $9 He added an extra $10, upping his final tip close to 45%. This happened at Johnny Carinos. I called and complained, and after a week of badgering them, they sent me my $10 (cash, which was weird) and 15 dollars in gift certificates. In hindsight, I should have demanded the $9 tip back too, because... do I really want to tip my waiter to rip me off?
Sara and I watched Prozac Nation today. Overall, I would say that I was very unimpressed. I wasn't expecting a lot out of this 2001 movie staring Christina Ricci, but the whole movie seemed forced and unnatural. I think they were going for a Girl Interrupted sort of uncomfortable/sad feeling, but were never quite able to pull it off. The high's were too forced and the touchy-feely parts were not very touching. I was also surprised that Christina Ricci did a nude shot at the beginning which added nothing to the film at all, didn't even really make sense. While Prozac Nation wasn't a terrible movie to watch, is not a film I would recommend to anyone, not even to my depressed goth friends.

September 2, 2005 Camping
I am off to go camping this weekend with My parents and Sara. Hopefully, we will have an amazing time, being as this is the first time Sara has been camping. It is vital to my future-camping success that we have a fun and enjoyable time. However, I have never had a bad time camping, even during cold or rain or bears. I hope that everyone else will be having a wonderfull weekend too, and I'll be back next week.
Also, my comments seem to be down. I'm not sure why, but with any luck they will be back up again soon. [Edit: They seem to be back up already.]
