![]() My co-worker posted this picture to flickr a couple days ago and I just saw it. I had a hard time believing that he took it, it looks like it's right out of a Tim Burton film. I just thought I'd share because it looks so awesome.
I like songs and I also really like good lyrics. A lot of people love deep, meaningful lyrics because they speak to their soul, or some crap like that. I prefer lyrics that are funny, or witty or clever. I also decided I should post these little gems to share with my friends, but I don't want to end up looking like some over-dramatic livejournal homepage or sappy myspace account, so I'll tuck them away within my 5ivethings on the right-hand side of the page. My brother came up with the name SongSnippets, and I like it, so I'll go with that. Keep your eyes peeled for more SongSnippets to come, I'll post them whenever I hear or think of a good one.
No updates for a couple weeks? No interesting stories or fun things to post about? This could only mean one thing: It's time for the /mark fluff post! -Lured by the promise of consuming my lunch via a real metal fork, Quiznos screws me over and give me a plastic one. -Brokeback Mountain was somewhat of a let-down but I guess thats what happens when you ride the caboose of the hype-train. (after reviewing what I just wrote, I ask that you not read into that analogy too far.) -I was thinking today about how software development would play out in the Star Wars universe, like Jedi vs .SITH, with classic lines like "I should have known open source and Java were trying to take over," "but from my point of view, .NET is evil," ok, wow. I just went there. That was the most stereotypical nerd thing I've ever done. Star Wars and programming in the same sentence. Sorry, won't ever happen again. "Guys, if I don't bleed to death pretty soon, I'm gonna die of boredom."
